The Academy of Law and Management of the Federal Penal Service of Russia is situated in the center of Ryazan, which was founded more than 900 years ago.

Today it is a modern industrial city on the bank of the Oka river with the population over 600 000 people.

The tallest building on the left along Pervomaisky Avenue is the 12-storey administrative building of the Academy. From its top there is a magnificent view of the city with the golden domes of ancient churches.
